SECTION VI

Go to Section 5
6.2.1.1: DESCRIPTION OF THE VERITECHS
"(a turret in fighter and Guardian modes)" => (a turret normally stowed in a recessed emplacement in Fighter and Guardian/GERWALK modes)
6.2.1.2:
"fusion power" => thermonuclear reaction power [Although fusion is a relatively good assumption, it is only an assumption.]
6.2.1.4
Beside the use of air as propellant, another reason is provided for the use of intakes in the Japanese Macross: the use of air as coolant.

For the position of the Tomahawk's gun cluster, I prefer the more approriate terms "abdomen" or "lower torso" to armpit. =)

6.2.2.2
"fusion-powered" => thermonuclear-reaction-powered
6.2.3.1
"in the original Macross, the average Zentraedi" => in the original Macross, the average Zentradi
6.2.3.3
fusion-powered => thermonuclear-reaction-powered
6.2.4.1
The Supervision gun destroyer SDF-1 Macross did not have "self-repairng systems," unless one is referring to sliding bulkheads -- which the Zentradi ships had. It also did not have a fold drive system more advanced than the Zentradi's -- only its surprise use by the Humans was novel.

Actually, the Zentradi did eventually want something contained in the Macross's hull -- the human populace. That is, they were eager to obtain the technical expertise the Humans had to build and repair "reaction weaponry and ships." (Later, they abandoned their efforts when Boddole Zer determined the Humans' contamination of Zentradi outweighed the benefits.)

6.2.4.2.
The gun destroyer later known as Macross was built by Supervision Army, whose identity was named and revealed in the very first episode. The Supervision Army's humanoids were both giants like the Zentradi and beings similar in size to humans.
6.2.4.3
"Armor-type weapons platforms" => ARMD space carriers Although Kazutaka Miyatake designed an initial SDF-2 design during the course of the original TV series, there was no "TV SDF-2 design" ever seen in the series. In any case, that design was that of original builders, before it was redesigned and rebuilt as the colony ship seen in Flash Back 2012. (In fact, this original pre-reconstruction design appeared not only in Macross Perfect Memory, a TV series book, but also Macross Special Preview, a DYRL movie book published before Macross Perfect Memory.)
6.2.5.1
Construction of the SDF-2 began 2003 November, well before Space War I and well before Quamzin's attack on the Macross.

"Kamijn" => Quamzin

Quamzin did not destroy the SDF-1 Macross, but did damage it heavily. "New Macross lake" => Lake Macross

"Kamijn" => Quamzin

"6.2.5.2: HOW DO THE VERSIONS OF THE SDF-2 IN THE JAPANESE MACROSS TV SERIES AND MACROSS 2012 DIFFER?" => 6.2.5.2: HOW DO THE ORIGNAL BATTLESHIP AND THE RECONSTRUCTED COLONY SHIP DESIGNS OF THE SDF-2 DIFFER?
Once again, there was no SDF-2 in the Macross TV series.

"The TV SDF-2 was 1620 meters in length, 420 meters larger than the SDF-1." => The initial design of the SDF-2 was 1620 meters in length, 410 meters larger than the SDF-1. (This design appeared in both TV series and DYRL movie books).

SDF-2 Megaroad-01 was not intended to replace the SDF-1 as the main flagship of the UN Spacy, before or after the mission role and design modifications. Vrlitwhai's own flagship replaced the Macross as the UN Spacy's flaship after Space War I.

"The SDF-2 also had two Armor-type weapons platforms for arms instead of the warships incorporated into the SDF-1." => The initial design of the SDF-2 also had two ARMD space carriers for arms instead of the warships incorporated into the SDF-1 Macross. However, the initial docking plans for the Macross did call for two ARMD space carriers.

"The SDF-2 from Macross 2012 is MUCH different from the TV version, however." => The SDF-2 from Macross 2012 is MUCH different from the intial design however.

6.3.1.1: DESCRIPTION OF THE MECHA
Like the Logan, it too has only two modes: helicopter & battloid configurations. => It has three modes: Fighter, Helicopter, & Robot configurations. 6.4.1.2: MOSPEADA stands for "Mobile Operation ... Dive Auto," not "Drive Auto." Only the VR-052 model was called MOSPEADA; the other models were designed to be more than just emergency armor for Legioss pilots.

The full names of MOSPEADA mecha:
AFC-01H/I/Z Legioss Armo-Fighter (Eta/Iota/Zeta) [Note that it is not "Legios"]
AB-01 Tread Armo-Bomber [It was a separate mecha, a bomber which dropped napalm bombs]
VR-38L Bartley Ride Armor
VR-042R Blowsuperior Ride Armor
VR-052F/T MOSPEADA Ride Armor

All mecha ran on liquid hydrogen turbine engines.
