Production Notes: Hiroyuki Yamaga (Gainax co-founder) claims that assistant animation director Fumio Iida (Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise, Yadamon, Roujin Z) was responsible for the unusual missiles inserted into The Super Dimension Fortress Macross [the Movie]: Do You Remember Love? as an inside joke among the staffers.
