RHAPSODY IN LOVE
〜マクロスの愛〜
As the name indicates, this collection is divided into two halves. The first, Rhapsody In Love, is a series of "symphonic" instrumental reprises of Macross vocal songs and background music as well as original orchestral image music, all written by Kentaroh Haneda. The second, Macross Love, is an original drama retelling the events of the first Macross series as written by Shoji Kawamori and voiced by most of the original Macross cast.

A collection of image vocal songs and image instrumental music relating a Christmas on Macross during its one-year maiden journey. A short story, "White Christmas," is included in the liner notes. (Scriptor Sukehiro Tomita had originally planned an unrealized "One Christmas Day" episode which would have aired approximately after episode 20, "Paradise Lost" and would have taken place in December 2009 -- and which is not to be confused with episode 35, "Romanesque" which takes place in December 2011).
