The Super Dimension Fortress Macross Vol. III: Miss D.J. Drama Edition is the first Macross drama album, purporting to be a broadcast of Lynn Minmay's weekly Friday night radio show. On the album, Minmay (played by Mari Iijima) answers questions, talks to listeners, interviews Hikaru Ichijyo, and sings several songs, including "Yesterday," "Scarborough Fair," and "Blowin' in the Wind." During production, the album was provisionally entitled Whisper of the Stars (星のささやき).
