Egan, what is the policy on line art? Are we just supposed to try and link to the official sites that have it? Bitphil 06:44, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- The main criteria is that the use is appropriate for this online resource, the size is reasonable for the same, and the citation is included for the original source. A properly written image use policy will be on this site's to-do list, but you should be fine as long as the above guidelines are met. We can add the neccessary copyright notice template or flag any issues. Oh, by the way, you can sign talk entries by adding four tildes (4 of these "~") at the end. Thanks! We should set a standard form for the mecha entries. As it is now they all look different, depending on who is editing the page. GodMars 18:19, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I have been going by the wiki standard, such as using bold under programs and other headings. Not bolding is non-wiki standard.--Heron 16:01, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Maybe we should use infoboxes?
Personally, I think it should match as close as possible to the original document when importing. Though, IMHO, this stylistic difference is something that we can deal with later... Sketchley 16:24, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
True enough. Content fist, format, later. --Heron 16:45, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Did MBS distribute Macross Zero?--Heron 00:45, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, Bandai Visual did--I went ahead, and added that info.--Egan Loo 03:08, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Lineart
Until Egan comes up with an image use policy for lineart, anyone is welcome to use anything from MAHQ. With a maximum image size of 400 x 400 pixels, it's a good size for a wiki, and it's usually smaller than what official sites use.
Is this site an Official Source
Is this an official encyclopedia like The Star Wars Databank or a fan created site like Wookiepedia?--Primus 17:32, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- It is, technically, a fansite. But Egan does have expressed authorization from the licensees to publish and reprint text. --Azrael 07:07, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
