Protoculture

The Protoculture was the first sentient race to evolve in this universe, about one million years ago. It created the giant Zentradi to wage proxy warfare on behalf of its Stellar Republic. Unfortunately, schisms within the Stellar Republic later erupted into full-blown civil war. The subsequent fall of the Republic came about when the conflict between the Zentradi and the Supervision Armies reduced it to ashes.
