Talk:Zentradi
From Macross Compendium
One question: I always considered (dunno the source, maybe the old Macross Compendium itself) the following as true, please correct me if I'm wrong:
- Meltradi: colective name of the female giant race;
- Zentradi: colective name of the male giant race, or can be used to refer to the whole giant race, male and female alike;
- Meltran: for individual females, or related to the Meltradi race (ex: 'Meltran soldier', 'Meltran armor';
- Zentran: for individual males, or related to the Zentradi race (ex: 'Zentran soldier', 'Zentran weapon' - it's gender-inclusive, can be used to refer to zentrans and meltrans simultaneously;
Is it correct? I don't want to write anything wrong, and if I stand correct, maybe we need to tweak some articles a bit - and put this explanation somewhere.
PS: I don't think it can 'also' be Zentraedi as stated - wasn't Zentraedi spelling a Robotech-only thing? --Verythrax Draconis 20:42, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
