"Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?" -- Gag Halfrunt

I've been a fan of Macross ever since my brother and I rented something Robotech back in the early 80's. We laughed at the silly way they just shook the animation cell when the ship got hit and such, but those Pentech pens with the oddly similar font always gave us fond memories until we stumbled on the RPG books and the novels. I know, I know, hiss, spit, whatever, at least it had documented and accessible information.

I'd love to say it's why I joined the USAF, but fact is I just wanted to work in IT and break childish behaviour habits, and knew boot camp would go a long way towards that... but also thought USAF boot camp would be the easiest, and thus on my non-athletic level. Let me put it this way: While the standards aren't the most stringent, there is zero time to get them done. The 6-week boot camp of my day was also after they cut the pushup/situp time from 2 minutes to 1 minute (without reducing the reps). Marines, from what I hear, get an hour a night for reading/writing letters. We got 5 minutes. Not 5 minutes a night, 5 minutes total. If you're not already able to pass the graduation requirements, it's one hell of a challenge and not much time to meet it in.

In any event I've become a fan of subs without failing to appreciate dubs and the groundbreaking they've done for getting anime on the market... even getting subs on the market!

I'm also a stickler for documentation yet a bit of a slacker. Am I a walking contradiction?

No. I'm "just zis guy, you know?"
