The first VF in history from the hand of the gifted Zentradi engineer, Algus Selzer (Toran 825) whose first flight was performed in 2021. As a light combat aircraft which was primarily deployed for atmospheric-use, it was mainly deployed to the immigration fleets and frontier planets.
Nicolas Francoise Berthier's E-type, a drastically improved A-type, uses an engine almost equal to the VF-22 Sturmvogel II.
Although the E-type was developed for the purpose of acquiring the speed of an AVF and the mobility of a VF-9, it was extremely difficult to master control of and since midair explosion accidents happened one after another, caused production to cease.
Although there seems to have been some unfortunate drama over his ownership of this, Berthier remains silent and does not talk about it.
In fighter mode, the 22mm beam gun which is on the underside of the fuselage is converted into a laser communications equipment and does not function as a gun.

Performance
Fighter mode
- Maximum speed
- at 10,000 m: Mach 3.7
- at 30,000+ m: Mach 19.5+ (Although acceleration of Mach 21.0+ is possible at an altitude of 30,000m or more, it reaches the heat-resistant boundary at altitudes below that.)
- Service Ceiling : Unlimited (Capable of advancing into satellite orbit is possible with normal specifications)
