Macross Dynamite 7 is the third animated Macross video series and is a sequel to the TV series Macross 7. It was created by Shoji Kawamori and Studio Nue to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Macross. The story of Macross Dynamite 7 takes place almost two years after the events of Macross 7.

Summary
Basara Nekki leaves the Macross 7 and journeys to the planet Zola, where he finds himself in the middle of a conflict between Galactic Whale poachers and the Zolan Patrol Forces.
