Queadluun-Rau is a Zentradi high-performance mobile battle powered suit for women. While lightly armored, the airframe design excels in abundant fixed armaments and high-maneuverability combat performance with the Quimeliquola special inertia vector control system which is superior to to both the Zentradi army and Supervision Army. However, due to the higher performance, there were control difficulties and low deployment.

The Queadluun-Rau was developed at the advanced Quimeliquola Fully Automated Weaponry Factory in parallel with the use of female troops at the end of the Stellar Republic dissolution conflict. The Rau-type was the first combat capable airframe. But since the high-quality system was complex, it was deployed in small numbers, only to elite air combat units. Due to the limited numbers, there were few military gains from this unit but the unit itself was highly appraised.


After the Great Interstellar War, units were employed by the UN, but operational units gradually decreased due to breakdowns in production at the Factory Satellite . By the 2030s, operational rates were not maintained through the use of spare parts. Support for reproduction was strong and in 2035, the UN Forces entrust General Galaxy with the reproduction plan.

Movie version

The Meltrandi, a giant group of only females, operated this weapons of their own design, were constructed with combat potential equal to the Zentradi. In this case, the women use the high-performance "Queadluun"-series' high-speed, highly-maneuverable "Rau"-type. This widely used unit demonstrated superior space combat abilities and showed the power of the Meltrandi to the UN and Zentradi armies.

There were not many of the Rau-type in the Meltrandi army Queadluun-series that were put into actual combat. It is considered that this high-class unit of the series had an influence on the operating conditions. The fact that it left certain results with its limited use was an indication of its performance.

Design Features

Large backpack with large-sized thrusters. Hands and legs are attached to the body which only has a chest. This design concept is derived from a combination of mobile armaments and space powered-suit, characteristic of space battle pods. Legs are directly below the chest and the basic design is very compact. Due to the extremely short thighs, limb movement was poor during walking but since this unit was primarily for space combat, it was not an important issue. High combat ability from flexible operation of firepower and superior maneuverability. Airframe were designed with superior G-resistance abilities and the cockpits were designed according to a woman's figure. It is possible for males to board the aircraft however, it would be difficult to show complete performance. In addition, the cockpit space is very narrow. For general storage, it sits on fixed pedestal similar to the Regult's.

Movie version

Bio-optical technology used to control the mobile weapons brings the Meltrandi pilot close to being a cyborg. Meltrandi pilot is linked directly to the airframe in the cockpit though a optical nerve implant which is considered to have been used for aircraft control. The Rau's high-maneuverability is said to be a product of this system, unifying the pilot and airframe, contributing to the improved overall performance.

Flying Controls

Queadlunn-Rau relies almost exclusively on vernier thrusters for flying controls. Quimeliquola special inertia vector control system. Jet intakes in the front of the shoulders can be used for attitude control.

One only. Double structure shoulder. External covers serve as shoulder armor, while internal shoulder covers are responsible for locking the pilot into the cockpit. Small internal cover in the cockpit protects the chest of the pilot. Connectors are located on the inside of this cover.


One main cockpit screen. Additional sub-monitors. One forward-looking main sensor and numerous other sensors. High-speed targeting system built into the head. Antenna on the back of the head is stored in the airframe to avoid interference with the backpack when the cockpit is open.

Movie version

Light cables in the shoulder guards stretches around the cockpit, exchanging data directly with the pilot. Arm control equipment uses cables like tentacles and movement is fed back in conjunction with the optical implant embedded in the pilot's body. Various sensors are attached to the pilot's hand and arms operating the arm manipulators, various armaments and propulsion. Arm manipulators traces movement of the pilot's hand who passes it from the unit's shoulder.
