Macross 7 is the second animated Macross television series. The story of Macross 7 takes place on the Macross 7 fleet near the center of the Milky Way galaxy, 35 years after the events of the first Macross series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross.

Summary
In 2045, the Macross 7 fleet, the 37th long-distance colonization fleet is traveling towards the center of the Milky Way galaxy. As the Macross 7 fleet nears the planet Varauta, they encounter an unknown alien force called the Protodeviln and its army.
