The Super Dimension Fortress Macross Vol. V: Rhapsody in Love~Macross Love (超時空要塞マクロス Vol.V RHAPSODY IN LOVE~マクロスの愛~) is, as the name indicates, a collection divided into two halves. The first, Rhapsody In Love, is a series of "symphonic" instrumental reprises of Macross vocal songs and background music as well as original orchestral image music, all written by Kentaro Haneda. The second, Macross Love, is an original drama retelling the events of the first Macross series as written by Shoji Kawamori and voiced by most of the original Macross cast.
