Macross Frontier the Movie: The False Songstress (Gekijō-ban Macross Frontier ~Itsuwari no Utahime~ / マクロスF ~イツワリノウタヒメ~) is the fourth Macross theatrical film. It is the first of 2 movies that adapts the Macross Frontier' television series that ran in 2008. The film plan's launch was announced immediately after the broadcast of the 25th and finale episode of Macross Frontier on September 26 (after midnight on September 25), 2008. The release date for the first movie is scheduled for November 21, 2009 and a teaser trailer will be released on June 27, 2009, when pre-sale tickets went on sale. DVD and Hybrid Blu-Ray release date is scheduled for October 7, 2010.
This movie will re-edit the television series with new footage while the second movie will tell a new story and include new music.
